Slow-Cooker Baked Apples

Slow-Cooker Baked Apples

Here I go using Red Hots in a recipe again!  I just love these things.  If you do, too, you might also want to check out Red Hot Ice Cream or Cinnamon Candy Apple Cider.

Baking with apples is one of my favorite things to do in the fall.  I always use Golden Delicious apples because they are sweet and delicious, and they make the best desserts.  Believe it or not, I never use tart apples like Granny Smith, even in my Apple Pie.

The apples for this recipe need to cored before you place them in the slow-cooker.  I have a little apple corer that I use.

It allows you to easily remove the cores from apples so that they still look pretty.

After placing the apples in the slow-cooker, you fill the centers with the Red Hots.  Then pour a brown sugar mixture over the top.  In a few hours, you’ll have delicious baked apples in a cinnamon syrup.

  1. How cute! I love the idea of adding the red hots. When I first saw this picture, I thought it was some sort of doughnut haha but the fact that it’s an apple is way better!
